Affinity Designer - How To Create A Casual Video Game Logo (Suited for Beginners)

Recommended Posts

I made an tutorial on how to make a simple text logo. (Suited for Beginners)
Explanations are mainly intended for Affinity Designer, but almost all the techniques I use are also available in Affinity Photo.
This video uses some of the following techniques:
- Separating a text into separate letters.
- Using layer effects to create a bevel, gradient overlay, drop shadow and outline.
- Create a background for the logo with the contour tool.

It's my first tutorial video, I hope it's useful to someone. 🙂

A simple but cool movie. Your voice is clear, which is important in instructional videos, and the steps when creating logo are easy to repeat.
Games graphic is not my thing, but I enjoyed watching your video. I hope this isn't your last one.

Thanks! I Have some topics in mind for future tutorials. I Think I can improve the speed of instructions in the next videos, I'm still learning how to use the video editing software. I Want to create video's that are helpful for creating assets for game development, but many of the videos will be suited for all kinds of designs.
