mliving Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 Is it possible to restart page numbering at a custom point in a Publisher document without creating Sections, etc.? I have a document that I want page 1 to fall on physical page 7 of the document. Is this possible? I recall it's fairly straight-forward with InDesign (sorry for the comparison). Any assistance would be appreciated. Quote
GarryP Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 I don’t know if you can do it without using the Section Manager but the document I attached in this thread might help: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/196367-how-do-i-suppress-page-numbers/ Quote
MikeTO Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 You have to use sections to restart page numbering in Publisher. It's really easy. You can use a numbered list as suggested above but that seems like more work than just creating a section. Click the Section Manager icon in the Pages panel or choose Window > Section Manager. Click the Add Section icon Change Start On Page to 7 and select Restart Page Numbering At which will default it to 1 That's all there is to it. There's more information for advanced use cases in the free Publisher manual I've shared in this forum.
