KenCr Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 I'm a long-time PS user currently on the learning curve for AP2. I have an issue which I cannot find addressed anywhere. Occasionally what looks like an additional mask suddenly appears on one of my adjustment layers. This seems to correlate with toggling the layer visibility while the mask is highlighted, which I now avoid, but this still happens sometimes, so I suspect that was not the only cause. I've been able to back up through the history to remove it, but it is annoying. Did I accidentally uncover a feature of AP that I don't know about or is this something else? Any help would be appreciated, and if the answer exists in the current FAQ (I did look), please let me know and I will try to look more thoroughly. Thank you. Quote

Each Adjustment Layer (and the Live Filters) has a built-in mask which will become visible in the Layers panel as soon as you use a brush on the Adjustment Layer. Even if the mask is not visible it is there and ready and waiting for you to brush some pixels onto it. stokerg 1 Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Thanks for the reply. I tried to reproduce the problem with several different files but could not. If I see it again I will post it. walt.farrell 1 Quote
