Hi there,

I opened an IDML file on Affinity Publisher, but some texts and shapes I have on the master pages won't show on the pages!

Has anyone faced this problem?

Thank you

Hi @BBG3,

Are you referring to text and shapes you added to the master page in Affinity Publisher or text and shapes that appeared on the master page in InDesign that aren't appearing on the pages?

Hi @Hangman,

Thanks for your help.

I have many texts and shapes on my master page that are missing inside pages. All of my master pages are like that.

Hi @Hangman

Here is an example file. It seems the table on the master page has minor bugs; It can't contain shapes and some texts

Hi @BBG3,

Many thanks for your sample file...

I believe there is a known bug (though I'm struggling to find the bug reference at the moment) relating to pinned objects in tables on Master Pages not transferring to publication pages which is what's happening here.

It appears to be related to but perhaps the opposite of AF-1144, though this doesn't specifically relate to tables it sounds like a very similar issue.

The workaround is to unpin the pinned objects on the Master Page and then perhaps group them with the table if there is any requirement to move them on the publication page and reapply the Master to the respective pages.

Hi @BBG3,

Hopefully, it at least gives you a useable workaround until the bug is fixed... 🙂
