ashf
When Layer FX's blend mode is set to other than Normal, it will be incorrectly rasterized on PDF/X-4 export. PDF/X-1a has no problem. Also I would like you to make exporting Outline FX as a separate element possible. Some FX can be exported as a separate element such as Outer Glow or Outer Shadow. Here's the FX on the document Top Left: Outer Shadow 50% / Normal, Top Right: Outer Shadow 50% / Darken Bottom Left: Outer Shadow 100% / Normal, Bottom Right: Outer Shadow 100% / Darken PDF/X-4 PDF/X-1a af-fx-test.afdesign
Dan C
Thanks for your report @ashf! I can confirm I'm able to replicate this issue with your file and have logged it with our developers now. 2 hours ago, ashf said: Also I would like you to make exporting Outline FX as a separate element possible. Please post this in the Feedback section of the forum for our team to see and consider, as the bug reporting section isn't the best place for this. I hope this helps ashf
Staff Affinity Info Bot Posted January 3 Staff Share Posted January 3 The issue "Outer Shadow FX set to Darken blend modes not export to PDF correctly, unless X-1 or X-3 is used" (REF: AF-1337) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.4.0.2213". This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release. Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions. If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
