Create Curve from Current Selection

Is this even feasible? If not, I'll be making a feature request.

Do you mean a curve from a pixel selection? This is to my knowledge not possible.

Being able to create a curve from a selection was requested back in 2014 and Serif are aware of the request:

There’s probably no need to create a new request for this.

(There is a sort of 'workaround' available only in Publisher if you want to search for it.)

I remember that workaround. I realize it was very likely not possible considering if they could make vectors from raster, we'd probably have the Image tracer by now... but anyway, I was just looking to create a curve from a flat color, so mild hope.

I still got what I needed done, but it would look better if I could work with Boolean.

Super Vectorizer is still on sale for $10 on the Mac App Store: apps.apple.com/us/app/super-vectorizer-pro-ai-vector/id1152204742
I bought it just earlier this week.

Other than that, the "workaround" is presumably my "unexpected feature" discovery, right?

MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2
