HollyVGKC
Hi! I am attempting to make a design of text with no background. I have found a font I want to use and happened upon placing it onto a photo. The text has a "see through drop shadow". I'd like to keep the image behind just that area, so that the result is the font lettering with the blue and white just showing in that drop shadow part. I've done masking before, but have no clue on this task! Is this something I can get help with here? Thanks all.
prophet
Here's how I would do it… • Duplicate the text • Convert to curves • remove "outer" edges of letter shapes • nest texture into remaining curves layer Screen Recording 2023-11-08 at 8.26.27 PM.mov HollyVGKC

carl123
A quick way is just duplicate the black text Change the original text layer to have a black stroke with no fill colour Then move that (lower) layer a "few" pixels to the left But you would need to test it with your chosen font to see how it looks prophet 1 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
