christerdk
Hi all, I'm currently working with a page in which I've inserted a picture. I've made the picture bigger than the page, to only have part of it this picture in the final product. I currently see all of the picture, with the margins superimposed on top to indicate the boundaries of the page. Is there any way I can switch to a print / export view, without actually starting those function, so see how the final product will be? You know, where the picture doesn't bleed outside the boundaries of the page? It's much better to evaluate the balance of the page when I only see what actually on it. Also: Interestingly, not all of the picture is shown. Is there some sort of canvas <=> page correlation in play? Thanks!
iconoclast
Hi christerdk! Did you already try Shift+Ctrl+W (on Windows) or (probably) Shift+Cmd+W (on Mac)?
christerdk
Hi @iconoclast! Thank you for your input. Shift-Cmd-W didn't yield any change. But I went all in on trying permutation of your suggestion and... For Mac it's Ctrl-W Just writing it out, in case anyone else is experiencing this. iconoclast
christerdk
Btw, @iconoclast, now that I have you here. Do you have any idea why only parts of the picture is shown in my original picture. It's like there's som sort of ratio involved that I'm not sure where stems from... iconoclast
iconoclast
You mean that the top and the bottom of the image is cutted? I think it is because the workspace for each page is limited. Otherwise the image would also cover parts of the previous and next pages on the rows above and below. And that wouldn't make sense. That's at least my interpretation of what I see. The short key on Windows in fact is Shift+Ctrl+W. Just tested it to be safe.
christerdk
I'm only working on one page here at the moment, so didn't see that perspective, but that totally makes sense. Thank you 🙏🏻 iconoclast

FWIW, a button for toggling Preview mode can be added to the toolbar if it is not already there. It looks kind of like a windshield wiper or fuel gauge symbol: Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.5.5 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
