Designer 2.2 update error 0x8007007E on Windows 11

Hello,

I'm trying to install the 2.2.0 update from version 2.1.1. Photo and Publisher are fine. Designer, on the other hand, won't do.

From the update search in Designer, the installation seems to take place. The application restarts but remains in 2.1.1. Each time it restarts, the update is downloaded.

So I have download the installer to update manually. Here's the error code 0x8007007E :

note : Windows Application installer version 1.20.2201.0

Hi Slivro,

Just to clarify after you downloaded the updater manually did the app then install correctly or is that when you got this error? Please could you tell me if your are using the MSIX or EXE version of the apps?

No, the installation can't be done. It was thanks to the MSIX installer that I was able to get the error code. With the automatic update there was no message.

I'm still in version 2.1.1 for Designer, but in 2.2.0 for the other 2.

Error: Photo hasn't updated either. Only Publisher has been upgraded to 2.2.0

I solved the problem by running each installer several times in succession, without launching the applications between each attempt.
