I would like to create a Card design without having to use an external data source, but I would still like the design changes and adjustments made centrally to be transferred to all maps. Is that possible?

Hi @Stefan_E,
welcome to the Affinity Forums!

Depending on the used app you can use Symbols or Master Page objects to use several instances / variations of a specific design. Also object Styles or Assets may be wanted options.

With an increasing number of different layouts (10, 50, 1000, …?) it may be (more) useful to use Data Merge although it requires to setup the data in a separate, external source first. Also external image or document resources which get placed as linked can be quite useful to use several instances which will react on changes done to their original.

Symbols is a great feature! But is it possible to create different Texts (the different Names) but still be able to edit the Styles for all the cards (eg Font Size)?
With Assets I have the another Problem. I can change Content because every Asset is treated seperately but I can't change the styles for all the cards in a synchronized way.

You should probably use Text Styles for all your text. Then you can edit the Text Style using the Text Styles panel and all the text with that style changes.
