Hi @Lucdg,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums & Sorry to hear you're having trouble.

Can you please confirm for me:

  • Does this happen with any document, or only certain ones?
  • Does the export dialog appear, and then the app freezes, or does it freeze before this dialog is shown?
  • Does the app recover if you wait long enough, or does it crash?
  • If it crashes, do you see any error messages on screen?

The more information you can provide here, the easier it will be to assist. Many thanks in advance!

  • Unticking hardware acceleration does not help.
  • It happens with any document
  • The app freezes immediately, no dialog is shown.
  • The app does not recover and even after waiting for a long time, nothing else happens. It just remains frozen.
  • No error messages are shown.

Thanks for confirming that for me and I'm sorry to hear this - it's certainly interesting that the app is freezing but not fully crashing, and even more so that this does not occur in Photo.

If you create a new, blank document in Designer/Publisher, does this also exhibit the same freezing behaviour?

If so, I'd recommend resetting Designer/Publisher back to default settings, to see if this resolves the issue.

You can reset your app back to its default settings by holding down the CTRL key while launching the app. When the Clear User Data window appears, click 'Affinity Publisher 2' to select all options in the top category, and click then Clear.

The app will now open - please try creating a new blank document and exporting this once again.

Be aware that resetting your app back to its default settings will lose any custom settings such as keyboard shortcuts and brushes etc.

I hope this helps!
