Singularity
I would like to request that a photo cataloging feature be added to Affinity Photo V2 (or later). I am a bird photographer and I catalog all my photos by year, species, and keywords. I am/was using Apple's "Photos" app to do this, but recently ran into trouble when I bought a new Nikon Z8 camera and found that the Photos app currently doesn't support Z8 RAW images (since it is a new camera with a new RAW format). I also learned that I will probably have to wait for the annual new version of the Mac OS to be released for this to be rectified. I would prefer not to get locked into Adobe's monthly subscription model to get this functionality. It would be great if Affinity Photo included such a "catalog" feature, designed to allow the user to preview their photos (before and/or after editing) and store their photo catalogs on either the user's main hard drive, or an external hard drive. Komatös
Hello @Singularity and welcome to the forum. Affinity Photo is (primarily) an image editing program and not an image viewing program! Maybe the OSS program Dark Table I linked will suit your needs. https://www.darktable.org Quote MAC mini M4 | MacOS Sequoia 15.1.1 | 16 GB RAM | 256 GB SSD AMD Ryzen 7 5700X | INTEL Arc A770 LE 16 GB | 32 GB DDR4 3200MHz | Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (26100.2161) Affinity Suite V 2.5.6 & Beta 2.6 (latest) Interested in a free (selfhosted) PDF Solution?
