iPad Publisher 2 Photo Persona: can’t color-adjust just 1 item on a page?

Recommended Posts

What is the item you're trying to adjust, as shown by the Layers panel?

In any case, yes, it's certainly possible, and quite simple:

Walt, thank you. I’m doing just as you did. Decided to reboot iPad, and I was able to adjust one single item in a different document but not in the one where I took a screen movie.

Is there something about a page which could lead photo persona to treat the entire page as a unit, for photo adjusting purposes?

I don't know. What is on that page? Can you show us the Layers panel?

Can you put that page into a sample .afpub document that you can share with us?

Good morning and thank you, Walt;

I’ve posted both the file and a screen movie of what I did in that file.  For some reason it appears that a master page element is affected by my adjustment as opposed to just the one, single item (an image of a sunny sky).

Is there a way to instruct Publisher / Photo persona to adjust only the desired, selected item, and no other items?

Thank you

Thanks for both the video and file.

I was not getting your results, so I played around and figured out that you must be getting the Adjustment Layer applied directly in the layer stack, rather than nested into the pixel layer. That's controlled by the Assistant Options in the application Settings.

There are two options for how Adjustment Layers are handled:

  1. Based on the Selection; and
  2. Take No Action.

With the first, the Adjustment layer will be nested into the pixel layer and affect only that layer.

With the second, which I think you are using, the Adjustment layer is placed above the pixel layer, and affects everything below it.
