VectorCat
my goal is to adjust the color of the image at the top. when I try, after switching to Photo Persona, and selecting the object I want to adjust, the entire page gets adjusted. Is there a way to adjust only the desired object? Screen movie attached. Thank you. curves adjust whole layer.mp4
walt.farrell
What is the item you're trying to adjust, as shown by the Layers panel? In any case, yes, it's certainly possible, and quite simple: RPReplay_Final1692313707.mp4 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. VectorCat
Walt, thank you. I’m doing just as you did. Decided to reboot iPad, and I was able to adjust one single item in a different document but not in the one where I took a screen movie. Is there something about a page which could lead photo persona to treat the entire page as a unit, for photo adjusting purposes?

I don't know. What is on that page? Can you show us the Layers panel? Can you put that page into a sample .afpub document that you can share with us? VectorCat
Good morning and thank you, Walt; I’ve posted both the file and a screen movie of what I did in that file. For some reason it appears that a master page element is affected by my adjustment as opposed to just the one, single item (an image of a sunny sky). Is there a way to instruct Publisher / Photo persona to adjust only the desired, selected item, and no other items? Thank you cant adjust single item.mp4 cant color adjust one item only.afpub walt.farrell
walt.farrell
Thanks for both the video and file. I was not getting your results, so I played around and figured out that you must be getting the Adjustment Layer applied directly in the layer stack, rather than nested into the pixel layer. That's controlled by the Assistant Options in the application Settings. There are two options for how Adjustment Layers are handled: Based on the Selection; and Take No Action. With the first, the Adjustment layer will be nested into the pixel layer and affect only that layer. With the second, which I think you are using, the Adjustment layer is placed above the pixel layer, and affects everything below it.
