Matthew Twomey
This makes it impossible to correctly do advanced selections on more complex shapes. It works fine in Photo V2. I'm running the latest version as of today on OSX Ventura. This same procedure works fine in Photo V2.
walt.farrell
That's a known problem (since V1, still unfixed) when documents have a Bleed set. The selection marquee is offset up and to the left by the Bleed amount. Workaround: Disable the Bleed using Document Setup, until later in your editing process. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&tags=afb-4948 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Matthew Twomey
Aha! Ok, thanks. Well, zeroing out my bleed is a better workaround than have to have Photo open separately.
Dan C
Thanks for your report @Matthew Twomey! 10 hours ago, walt.farrell said: That's a known problem (since V1, still unfixed) when documents have a Bleed set. The issue raised in this thread regarding 'Select Sampled Colour' does not appear to be logged with the team, in my investigating I have also found that other Select options are affected, specifically: Therefore I'll be logging a new issue with our team now for the above options - as I can confirm I'm able to reproduce this bug in the latest v2.2 beta. I hope this helps walt.farrell
