Kevin Sanders
Hey all, I'm really struggling figuring out how to 'punch out' on this design. I've read different tutorials and what not but nothing is working with this particular logo. My desire in the attached design is to make everything blue transparent. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! Logo99.afdesign

Thanks for taking a look! That is close! My hope is for the few lines as shown in the original logo to remain, while the ones I circled here are filled in white (not sure how to describe that better...!). I think the cross also got shifted a bit in you edit. But you definitely have accomplished more than I've been able to so far. thank you! I am not sure if I understand your marked spots correctly. – However, if you don't need to export as vector you also could achieve the wanted result without Geometry options: Select all layers with blue stroke and set their blend mode to "Erase", as far I see, also ungrouping + moving them in the layer hierarchy is easy. For the blue background circle it is sufficient to set its Fill colour to [None] and maintain its white stroke. lepr
The video below shows a process for AD1 which does not have the Shape Builder Tool of AD2. The result will export as vectors. Key presses aren't shown, but I was deleting the divided blue shapes that vanished from the view. Logo99 process.mp4 Kevin Sanders
firstdefence
Not sure what went wrong with the first amended file anyway another attempt with amended 2. in this one simply drewn curves over the area's that needed to be white because it wasn't a lot of work. Kevin Sanders
Thank you all so much for your help! The video by @lepr proved immensely helpful and I was able to achieve the result (and learn some things along the way). I really appreciate you all taking the time! lepr and firstdefence
