Assets disappear from design (Split)

Recommended Posts

Hello, I would like to report an important error (Affinity designer version 1.1 desktop): I did a job using several objects as "assets", I lost days and days of work on a very complex isometric perspective job... I'm quite disappointed, because many used objects of the "assets" simply disappeared... I didn't find any explanation for that...

Your post would be better in its own topic, and in the proper forum for reporting bugs. A Moderator can move it for you, but they will need to know which OS you use to get it into the proper place.

Also, please clarify what you mean by "many used objects of the "assets" simply disappeared". Are you saying they are no longer in the Assets panel, or that you put them into the document but now they are missing?

Thanks, @Carlos Lorencini, but you still didn't say what OS you use.

Hi @Carlos Lorencini,

Based on your screenshot is looks like the assets used were just standard curve objects, if they went missing on the canvas is it possible that the file was overwritten with an earlier version? If not, could we perhaps see a copy of the file? If it was not originally saved with history it might be difficult to track exactly what happened for these curves to be dropped from the file but it may give some indication. From your screenshot it does look like that specific curve asset was used in other areas of your design so the fact that they're assets may not be related. I've provided a private upload link below:
