Milohosi
On the iPad V2 version of Photo, I cannot find the equivalent of "Refine Mask" that is available on the desktop version when right-clicking on a mask. As far as I can see, the iPad version only offers a "Refine selection" function, that can send the output to a mask. But that results in the creation of a new mask. What I want to do is editing/refining an existing mask. Anyone who can help?
Staff Dan C Posted August 3, 2023 Staff Share Posted August 3, 2023 Hi @Milohosi, Unfortunately I don't believe it's possible to return to the Refine Mask dialog for an existing mask on iPadOS, my apologies. However, I am logging this as a requested improvement with the team now - as I certainly can see how the iPad version would benefit from this option. I hope this clears things up Milohosi 1 Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. NotMyFault
As a workaround: create a selection from the existing mask, disable the mask (in case of mask layer), or use channels panel->fill to remove an inherent mask refine the selection create a new mask Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | Windows 10 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps.
