  1. I mean the filter list, like this on the iPad: versus this on the dektop:
  2. I wonder why the desktop version of Affinity Photo does not offer a visual preview of the effect filters will have on your photo, whereas the iPad version does offer this useful feature. On the iPad, when you click the Filters icon, a visual menu of all filters is displayed. On the desktop, it is just a textual list of filters.
  3. On the iPad, there is a button on the top right corner that hides the UI to provide a fullscreen vieuw of your work. It hides all UI buttons and tools, except... the command controller button that stays in the way and disturbs the nice fullscreen view. It should toggle on and off together with the other UI elements.
  4. On the iPad V2 version of Photo, I cannot find the equivalent of "Refine Mask" that is available on the desktop version when right-clicking on a mask. As far as I can see, the iPad version only offers a "Refine selection" function, that can send the output to a mask. But that results in the creation of a new mask. What I want to do is editing/refining an existing mask. Anyone who can help?
  5. When using Adjustments in Photo and Designer on iPad, the entire contextual panel fades to become almost invisible whilst dragging the dials to increase/decrease their values. The reason for these panels to fade is so that you can see the change applied to the whole canvas, without the dialog blocking the bottom right corner. However, it is often useful to see the value that is being adjusted. Therefore, I suggest to keep the full opacity of the single dial that is being interacted with.
  6. It's not just you, I like to see the values I'm adjusting too. I understand that this is not a bug, it is designed this way in order to see the adjustment applied to the whole canvas. The beauty of the version 1 interface was that the widgets were layed out in a row at the bottom of the screen, with no panel at all. Crisp and clean. There was no need to fade them out because they did not interfere with the canvas (at least not for landscape images). It is unlikely that the developers will revert to the version 1 interface. So I will post in the feedback section of this forum a request to keep the full opacity of the single widget that is being interacted with (as suggested last year by DavidAlexanderFleming).
  7. The issue of the fading contextual panel has been a showstopper for me. So I am still on version 1. I wonder of anything has changed in v2.1 in this respect.
  8. In addition, fading the controls panel cannot be applied consistently to all panels. Can you imagine a curves adjustment with the curves control dimmed in order not to cover the image?
  9. Fading the panel but maintaining opacity of the single widget that is being interacted with would make more sense, for sure. In version 1, all controls were located at the bottom of the screen, in a horizontal dock. It was fairly easy to work with the controls while leaving the best part of the image uncovered. That way, there was no need to fade the control panel. In my opinion, version 2 doesn't offer an improvement, rather a deterioration of the interface as far as this behaviour is concerned.
  10. I have the same problem. I hope it's not meant to do this by design, because this behaviour is really very annoying.
  11. I have a related problem when I use the "Edit in Affinity" extension. The file (JPG) opens in Affinity for editing. After editing, it is saved back to Photos, and the edits are visible in the Edit window of Photos. But when I click the "Save edits" button in Photos, I get an unexpected error message, so that the edits cannot be saved to the Photos library.
