Publisher crash

Any suggestions to combat this behaviour gratefully received

1 Open file

2 Float view to window

3 Close floated window,

4 Now click on thumbnail in Pages panel

5 Spinning beachball every time... have to force quit

2019 iMac 27 3Gh 16Gb but also does it on my old MacBook Air

I've duplicated this with the current 2.2 beta on macOS Ventura. It happens with a blank new document, too.

Sorry, I should have said, this is 2.1.1 but interested to hear that it's still there in the latest beta
