Hangman
Steps to Reproduce Create an A0 source document in Publisher (1189 mm x 841 mm) with a 5 mm bleed and 25 mm margins. Add rectangles of differing colours to match the BleedBox, TrimBox and Margin sizes respectively, i.e., (1199 mm x 851 mm, 1189 mm x 841 mm and 1139 mm x 791 mm). Save the A0 document and leave it open. Create an A3 destination document in Publisher (420 mm x 297 mm) with a 1.75 mm bleed (the equivalent of the A0 5 mm bleed scaled to A3) using Image Placement set to 'Prefer Embedded'. In the A3 document, change the Page Box to BleedBox and place the source A0 Publisher document into the destination A3 Publisher document and scale it proportionally to fit the A3 document size. Save the A3 document and leave it open. Make a small change to the source A0 document, e.g., add a shape to it and then resave the file. Switch to the A3 document and in Resource Manager select the placed A0 document and select 'Make Linked'. This will show a popup with the following warning message:Unmatched Images Some images conflict with existing files. Would you like to replace them with your embedded copies? Click 'Yes'. In doing so the placed source A0 document still appears in its pre-edited state but now as a Linked file. Save the destination A3 document. Close both the destination A3 and source A0 Publisher documents. Re-open the source A0 document. The source A0 document now shows visual indicators for BleedBox, TrimBox and Margin sizes as 1209 mm x 861 mm, 1199 mm x 851 mm and 1149 mm x 801 mm respectively despite the Document Setup window still showing the original A0 setting of 1189 mm x 841 mm with a 5 mm bleed. There is now a disparity between the dimensions shown in the Document Setup window and those shown on the canvas. Staff NathanC Posted July 17, 2023 Staff Share Posted July 17, 2023 Hi @Hangman, Many thanks for the detailed steps, I've replicated this on MacOS (worked fine on windows for me) and logged it with the developers.
Hangman
Hi @NathanC, Thanks for confirming and for logging... Since originally posting I've subsequently tested in both v2.1 and v1.10.6 and both have the same issue on macOS.
