j3rry
How can I create a greyscale layer from one of the channels? Pixel selection works but I want a new greyscale layer. The manual says it works but I can't find the trick... 😞 PS: Sorry, one minute later I have found the solution, cmd-right-click on the channel .... Old Bruce
You need to have a Pixel layer selected, other image layer types won't work. If your heart is set on using a non-pixel layer then you would need to "roll your own" by making the three RGB (or four (cmyk)) channels from the Composite and load them into a new empty Pixel layer, plus make or fill the alpha channel. See the differences between a Linked Raw file and a Rasterized layer of it. j3rry 1 Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4 Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
