Hangman Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 I know there are several reports relating to the tab key not functioning correctly (on Monterey, I can't recall if this affects other versions of macOS) when entering values in certain fields, e.g., Number of Pages in Publisher and Stroke Width in all apps where tabbing out of the field doesn't accept the value entered but I'm unsure if this has already been reported, needs filing or should be added to the existing tab related issue even though it's not tab specific... In Affinity Photo and the Photo Persona of Publisher v2.0.4 when editing the dimensions in both the Resize Document and Resize Canvas dialog windows, inserting the cursor between two numbers and hitting the backspace key results in the caret vanishing and the entire field maintaining focus and subsequently if a character is entered it overwrites all characters in the width and/or height boxes. In v2.1.0 and v2.1.1 this has changed slightly but not for the better. Now inserting the cursor between two numbers and hitting backspace moves the caret so it appears one character before the insertion point which means the next character typed appears in the wrong position. Example To edit the value 2276 px to 2296 px, insert the cursor between the '7' and the '6'. Hit the backspace key and the expectation is that the caret should appear after, not before the second '2' Type the number '9' and you end up with 2926 px instead of 2296 px. Obviously, you can highlight the entire field and type the complete value, i.,e. 2296 but this shouldn't be necessary.
