MikeTO Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 Please consider showing an invisibles marker for a note that doesn't have a visible marker. If you set In Main Text > Number Text to blank there is nothing to show where the marker is positioned. There is also no way to drag the marker to a new position. Setting Number Text to blank is advantageous for those who want to use Sidenotes to create unordered sidebars. While traditional pinning can accomplish this, sidenotes offer the Toward/Away from Spine feature which is more convenient. Below, a sidenote with marker to set \# followed by a marker set to blank. The third screenshot is a mockup of the type of symbol that could be shown when Number Text is set to blank. Thanks! I never actually noticed this lack of an indicator. Would be useful for when I go back to those projects and have forgotten where I placed the note in the text. As it now stands I place the text cursor in the sidetone and hit the Go to Reference button on the notes panel, then look/search for the text caret. walt.farrell 1 Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.
