cgidesign Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 (edited) Win 10 22H2 APh 2.1 I often use a shortcut to change to the erase brush. But this way the eraser uses the brush from the previously selected tool. E.g.: I first use the paint tool with a pencil brush I switch to the eraser - the eraser is now also using the pencil brush I don't want that. The eraser should use its own brush. How to set this up? I have looked through the shortcut settings and searched the forum but it seems I am missing something. Edited June 14, 2023 by cgidesign typo Quote
GarryP Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 It sounds like you have the wrong “Brush Tool Sharing” option set for what you want to do. Go to Settings / Assistant and try changing the “Brush Tool Sharing” option and see what happens. cgidesign 1 Quote
firstdefence Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 You can assign a brush to use a tool but I don't think you can use a tool to use a specific brush . cgidesign Posted June 14, 2023 Author Posted June 14, 2023 @GarryP thanks, that did the trick. @firstdefence yep, found that out as well. A brush can trigger a tool, but a tool can't trigger a brush. For me the opposite would be better, but with GarryP's tip its ok now. GarryP and firstdefence 2 Quote
