Help please.  the flier I have been working on has somehow become an embedded file and I have lost the ability to save it or edit any of the layers.  I must of pressed on something for this to have happened.  I still have the file open but would like to be able to save it before having to start all over again

What does the Layers panel show - screenshot?

(Do not close the file)

There is nothing locked, just noticed that layer 4, 5 and 6 do not seem to have anything in and I cannot select any layer for editing.

OK, if it says Embedded in the document tab you clicked on an embedded document in the main document

You cannot save these embedded documents but the main document will be updated when you close that document

First switch on File > Save History with Document in both the Embedded document and the main document (as a precaution)

Next, I would close the embedded document and see what happens in the main document

But you may want to wait a while to see if anyone else has any ideas

PS A full size screenshot of the application may help see what document/tabs are open and anything else that may be applicable

Select all layers in Layers panel, Copy, and New from Clipboard?
Or New document, and successive copying of individual layers/groups?
