blackest Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Hi Its great there is the rule of thirds triangles and golden ratio. The golden ratio however only has 2 of 8 possible orientations. having the other 6 would be useful. There are other guide theorys too that could arguably be added if we could make our own presets for cropping guides maybe as a loadable svg cropping layer it would be excellent. thanks John
peter Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I would like to add, the ability to rotate an image; say 60 degrees to the left, but have the ability to crop parallel to the screen. crabtrem Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 You may want to watch this tutorial from Affinity. And for peter, I wonder why you don't find the Place Image command sufficient for your needs? I may be misunderstanding your requirements. So if I did, I apologize in advance.

Thanks for that it is useful. I Would still would like to add additional grids as an overlay. Also one thing lightroom can do is allow you an overlay for the loupe view to illustrate the effect of matting allowing you to fill the frame with the subject but without going under or touching the matt. cheers john
