Hello!

I do a lot of graphic animation to be incorporated in videos and web pages. I do animation the old way with individual designs and then export them as image sequences. What I miss is a feature to create an animated PNG file from the layers. This would be a huge timesaver for me and also a guarantee that image quality would be preserved in the process, because, one never knows what kind of compression applied by converters out there.
Therefore, it would be a big plus if this feature was added to AP and AD!
Are there any plans for this?

Thank you!

Thank you for your reply.
I was thinking of something simpler, such as export layers to APNG, with each layer representing one single frame. No need for elaborated options, just one more export option.

you may take a look at the "Cavalry" App (PC/Mac)

Thank you for the tip. Cavalry seems very versatile and featured in its free version. I'm already using it for other designs. However, for simple import/export I find it to be cumbersome… unless there is a straightforward method to import 200 PNGs from AD and export them as APNG. Any ideas @2ddpainter?

Not really, since I don't do animations

A while ago there was a discussion about APNG in another forum
and a few apps were mentioned that can export it.

Here is the list.
Clip Studio Paint
(has animation)

Photoline

Krita
(also has animation)
(I heard that Krita needs to have the free FFmeg installed.
to save APNG)

Maybe you can import your PNGs into one of these programs
and save the result as APNG.

I am on Window, where i would try to automate
such a Task via "AutoIt" or "Autohotkey" maybe
there is also such a Tool on Mac.
