It appears possible to click drag the labels for 'L' in HSL and the 'C' and 'K' in CMYK to change colour values in the Colour Chooser but none of the other labels are responsive, however...

  • Click dragging the 'L' label in HSL changes the Hue values instead of the Lightness values
  • Click dragging the 'C' label in CMYK changes all four values (i.e., C, M, Y and K)) instead of just 'C'
  • Click dragging the 'K' label in CMYK changes the values for 'Y' instead of 'K'

I'm unsure whether the labels are supposed to allow click-drag to change values but currently it's a bit of a mixed bag as in either all or no labels should be click draggable and if they should be, then they should of course change the value for the correct slider.

It took me a long minute of not being able click-drag on any labels in the colour panel before I remembered that this is specifically the floating panel which opens from double-clicking on a currently set colour...  (You can probably tell that I never use that). But you are absolutely right and it is very weird.

Hi @Hangman,

I've just got this logged with the Dev team.

I'm also not sure if those labels should be click n drag enabled but if they are, they do need to be looked at :)

Hi @stokerg,

Many thanks for logging...

I'd be interested to know whether or not those particular labels should be click n drag enabled as well, as none of the slider labels can be click dragged in the swatches panel but the RGB Hex sliders and Hex value labels and the Grey label in the main colour palette can but none of the others, i.e., the RGB, CMYK, HSL and LAB labels can't be click n dragged to change values so there appears to be some inconsistencies here.. :)
