Unable to Remove Tools from Overflow

When the left-hand toolbar is full, adding more tools to via [View > Customise Tools] adds them to an overflow menu.  However, once added, it does not allow the user to remove them again by dragging then back out.

It's the same on macOS. You can workaround this by temporarily changing to a 2-column layout so you can see them all at once.
