V2 AD Portion of curve is not recognized by the node tool

Recommended Posts

Sometimes in the node tool, designer does not detect the existence of the curve being under the cursor.  Likewise when using either the option click to straighten a line or the control click to remove a segment, it doesn't work in the areas that are not detected as part of the curve.  Temp.afdesign

In the attached drawing there is a loop off the bottom right corner, if the cursor is traced around the circumference of that loop only a little more than half of it is recognized as existing by the node tool.

AD 2.0.4 is being run on a 2020 27" iMac using Ventura 13.3.1.

I am assuming this is not by design.

iMac (27-inch, Late 2009) with macOS Sierra

Hi @Gear maker,

Thanks for your report and file provided! I can confirm I have been able to replicate this on Windows also and have logged it with our developers now.

I hope this helps :)

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!

The issue "User file - sections of curve not recognised by Node Tool until new nodes are added to object" (REF: AFD-6585) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.2.0.1857".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
