sb101 Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 still not sure why that does not get K=100, CMY=0 greets, S. Quote
walt.farrell Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 Because that's an RGB-based color palette. However, look to the right of the palette name where you see the four squares with no color, black, gray, and white. Use the black or gray one to get CMYK 100% black or a middle gray. sb101 Posted March 25, 2023 Author Posted March 25, 2023 thx walt, I'm aware of, but it does not make sense for cmyk. if I create an cmyk document (eg. PSO v3) and get "RGB2cmyk values", ehm... this is more of a trap than a feature I'd say the shades of cmyk-greys should be swapped for cmyk documents to K=100,CMY=0 K=95,CMY=0 K=90,CMY=0 etc. best, s. walt.farrell Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 All I can do is tell you why it behaves that way, and how to get around it (for black and middle gray and white). Although Serif should have provided a K-only palette with, for example, 5% steps, especially after so many posts about the lack of one over the years, it's easy to make your own or download one from the forums here. sb101 1 Quote
sb101 Posted March 25, 2023 Author Posted March 25, 2023 definitely it should be like that. any link, just started, now I'm at 65% ,-) greets s edit: 0-100 would be nice, not sure if that could be done with an simple csv import. openoffice dragging from 0 o 100 would be easy. Quote

walt.farrell Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 I haven't tried these, but you might check: sb101 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
