Hi there

i am new to affinity designer so I apologise in advance if the issue i ve encountered turns out to be my fault, but while using Text studio where is now the spell check option (check spelling while texting) that used to be on the little menu at the top next to ‘Text’?

Has it been moved somewhere else?

Hi @Sauro,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

The spelling options are now found in a few locations.

To enable/disable the spellchecker, please tick the relevant option under the Preview menu -

If you wish to change the Spellchecker language, this is done by entering the Character section of the Text Studio -

Finally, if you want to Learn/Ignore misspelt words, select your text object with the misspell, then select the following option from the Document menu -

I hope this helps :)

Thank you for the quick reply. I did check that, but unfortunately it was not working. As you can see the language selected was english, the spelling was selected on Preview but the misspelled word was not showing as misspelled. BC58D1BD-086E-431B-B346-E43126E4AED7.thumb.jpeg.d3e44bee4d20f0f53b6ba4b34e1017e5.jpeg2DEF1DA2-F294-4F4F-B80E-A326DBC8ECEC.thumb.jpeg.d23b4c0eddf86b8c5319c7fce46a9533.jpeg

For me I must first highlight the text and then apply the language - if not, it wont be spellchecked…

It would help to have your .afdesign document, not just a screenshot.
