iivainen Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 Hi! I imported a vector mask from a different software and the workpath decides to invert the fill colour where it overlaps. Is there an easy way to either just remove the overlap without affecting the workpath or just make it not invert the fill colour? Thanks in advance! Quote
lepr Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 Hi and welcome to the forums. Layer > Fill Mode > Winding will make overlaps be rendered with the fill colour, so try that. Alternatively, use Shape Builder Tool to physically remove the overlaps. Quote

I have tried changing the Fill Mode but sadly it changes nothing. I'll try using the Shape Builder Tool! Quote

Update, when using the Shape Builder Tool to remove the overlaps I realize that the overlaps aren't infact overlaps. When being imported from another software the overlaps were translated into being nothing, therefore I am unable to delete them with the shapebuilder. 😄 So my question is now changed to "How do I fill the gaps the easy way?" The import has resulted in a series of Curve layers added together into one Curves Layer. That Curves layer has the "holes" burned into the separated Curve layers. Unless we know more about the different software I fear that there is not much we can do. Edit: Wow, such bad advice I give. Please see the post above this one for a solution.
