I found at least four topics on the first page requesting this feature in the title when I searched for "How to use cmd+scroll to zoom." You may have had good reasons for ignoring it for many years, but please consider adding this feature. I appreciate it.

Zoom in/out issue with the cmd/spacebar shortcut across the entire Affinity suite

Will I ever get used to zoom in Publisher?

How do I change the scroll on my mouse wheel to ZOOM instead of scrolling?

Please let us edit the keyboard shortcut for 'quick zoom' (Spacebar+CMD <-> CMD+Spacebar).. Spacebar is not a modifier key

Most of those posts are about using Cmd+Spacebar, not the scroll wheel. They are discussing the issue with Cmd+Spacebar activating Spotlight search so you have to press Spacebar and then Cmd in Affinity to activate Zoom.

Affinity already lets you use the scroll wheel to zoom. You can either turn it on permanently in Preferences/Settings > Tools > Use Mouse Wheel to Zoom, or with that off you can hold down Option and then use the scroll wheel to zoom. Note that it's Option and not Cmd.

apologize that I used wrong examples.
What I would I like to request is the feature to zoom in and out using cmd+scroll, as this feature is common in other software. If they share the same shortcut, it will be smoother absolutely. Affinity isn't the software that I used most often, it is still an important part of my workflow.

While I understand that Affinity may want to maintain its unique features, I don't see any drawbacks in supporting this feature.
Please consider about this request. Appreciate it.
