Since the .exe file for version 2 has been located in the WindowsApps folder it is has not been possible to call Affinity Photo from within either of the 2 DAMs I use. Is there any work around that can be used, or has the ability to call Affinity Photo from another programme been permanently disabled by this change? I do hope not because it is annoying and slows down my workflow significantly.

Hey @Howard Worf,

I would suggest uninstalling the .MSIX version of Photo 2 and then install the unsandboxed .MSI version of the app, this will then allow you to link external applications to the .EXE similar to V1 instead of resorting to the aflaunch.exe workaround, I've linked a forum thread below which details how to download and install the apps via the .MSI.

Thanks for the information on installing the MSI version.  I downloaded it, but I'm at a loss as to how to uninstall the current one.  Photo 2 is not listed on my apps in Control Panel, so I can't uninstall it from there.  What is the method to uninstall it?

EDIT:  Disregard, I found a way to uninstall it.
