zeichner Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 IMG_2775.MOV As you can see on this video, the main screen is usually shown much too bright. It sometimes switches to normal when moving the cursor in and out. I have no idea where this one comes from and would be very happy if someone knows how to stop this. I use Affinity photo 2.0.4. on a Macboob M2 Ventura 13.1 Quote
Staff NathanC Posted February 27, 2023 Staff Posted February 27, 2023 Hey @zeichner welcome to the forums, Could you try disabling Hardware Acceleration (The last tickbox) and setting 'Display' to 'OpenGL' under Preferences > Performance and then restart the app to see if this continues? zeichner 1 Quote
zeichner Posted February 27, 2023 Author Posted February 27, 2023 (edited) Thanks for you answer, NathanC! Yes, that did the trick, thanks so much! //edit: I first checked the mac preferences and couldn't find the button Edited February 27, 2023 by zeichner Quote

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
MarkWL Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Hi All, I encountered the same problem. Apple MacMini M2 Pro, 32 GB memory. MacOS Ventura 13.3.0 Affinity Photo2 v2.0.4 Affinity Photo2 Beta 2.1.0.1742 • Bug manifests in both versions. When Metal is checked I get random cycling between normal & washed out image. Really puzzled me too. Never thought to look at the Performance settings. Using Software or Open GL –> normal & stable. Affinity Photo2 bugs table.pdf Quote
