Beta crashes on upon opening

Have been using Beta Photo over the past couple of weeks, when I tried latest version of Photo Beta attemptedto open.... immediately, crashes. . Tried loading a fresh copy of Beta same result. Restarted Mac operating system (Ventura 13.2.1), same result. Photo 2 still works OK.

The problem report (long one) was automatically sent to Apple, I can't copy to send to you

Hi Diggs, does the Photo beta crash when opening the app or when opening a file in the app?

If it's the latter, can you create new files with it? Does it crash when opening any file?

BTW, you can always find your crash reports for any app by opening the Console app that is included with macOS.

HI Mike.....Photo Beta crashes when opening the app, cannot open any further, to open files. The crash report is what is generated as soon as Beta app tries to open.

It was working prior ro the crash. Option upon seeing the crash is to 'Reopen' or "OK'....... Either way, the report is sent to Apple.

In that case, try holding Ctrl immediately after clicking the app icon to start Photo Beta. (Don't press it before clicking). If you see this screen then click Clear and see if it launches okay. If not, try it again but this time select the entire Affinity Photo 2 group.

Hi Mike, no joy with this approach. So I'm going to try and remove the beta test for photo2. However, I'd like to know how an easy way to de-install thanks, Diggs.

The beta is completely separate from the retail version - you can have them both installed side by side and they won't interfere with one another. You can just delete the beta if you want the space back. Just delete the app from Applications. This will leave a few small support files but don't worry about those, you'll likely install another beta version later.

Hello Gabe, Unfortunately I admit I gave up as it didn't improve after many attempts. I decided to delete the download. I have been busy with Version 2 with success. I would like to try again, so what would be the easiest way to get another download?

You can always download the latest beta from your affinity store account.
