Not connecting to Dropbox properly

I’m not too sure if this is a bug? But I use Dropbox to save my work and load from there. I was using iCloud.

however, quite often - annoyingly - when I want to load or save from or to Dropbox in the sidebar, it simply won’t connect. In fact locks up.

I have to exit the app then reboot the ipad and then it all works, until the next time.

I can’t work out what is causing it.

I noticed that as well.
As long as I was still using Dropbox, that is. In the meantime though, I "dropped" Dropbox  (for unrelated reasons: their app is no more compatible with MacOs El Capitan which is what I still need) and switched to pCloud instead. No such connection issues from iPad there.

It’s a bit of a nuisance really. I was using iCloud, but had endless problems with syncing from the windows pc. No problems with Mac and iPad.

So I moved everything to Dropbox, having seen the new iPad Link to Dropbox option in the Preferences. Mac & PC now use that without problems, but now the iPad has these intermittent issues with Dropbox. Can’t win. Which led me to ask.

The other problem with iCloud is that all files are stored everywhere. So it takes a LOT of room on the iPad. Dropbox doesn’t.

I will do that. I'm using the Betas on all three platforms, but it's only the iPad that seems to have the problem, so I'll give it a bit of a workout this afternoon. See if I can repeat it.

Ok, just opened a large Publisher document, edited it some, closed it, left it in Live Docs window. 
Tried opening another document of about the same size. Locked up.

the only responsive command on the UI is Cancel. Tried it three or four times. 
The only thing you can’t see here is me tapping commands….

Ah ha. I may have found the issue. It’s actually Dropbox. I think. I went into iPad Settings -> Dropbox and set Allow Photos to On.

At the moment it’s working properly. No lockups. If the problem comes back I’ll report back.
