Footnote in table

How do I set options for footnote text added in a table to appear at the bottom of the frame instead of below the table?

Where did you want your footnote to appear? Below column 2?

For a table, the only logical position for the footnote is below the table. Although all four options are available for note position (Below Text, Bottom of Column, Bottom of Frame, Below Frame), they all produce the same result - below the table.

I'd argue that Below Text should insert the footnote into the table cell below its text and that Below Column should align the footnote with the table column, but the other two are definitely correct. With a text frame, bottom of frame means inside the frame but there is no inside of a table other than in a table cell so bottom of frame and below frame must be the same.

According to typesetting rules, the footnote should be placed at the bottom of the column. However, it is placed below the table, despite the settings below the column.

Hello @Poziomka, That depends.

It's common to have notes just below the table.

But no matter, Affinity notes can be positioned anywhere you like.
