drann Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 I have a new camera, Sony DSC-HX99, and when I upload raw images to Affinity photo2 they don't appear as on the camera screen. They are fine in Preview on my Imac and in Adobe Bridge. There is a problem in the corners, see attached image. The lens does not appear in the drop down list in the Develop persona. I have an Olympus camera and have no problems with that or with my previous Sony DSC-HX80. I can edit as usual within Affinity 2 but don't want to crop large hunks of an image. Please help as this is a major problem for me. Quote
walt.farrell Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 You might need to turn off Lens Correction in the Lens tab in the Develop Persona, or select None as the default Lens in the Develop Assistant. drann 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Just tried both of those but it made no difference Quote

In that case, in the Lens tab in the Develop Persona, scroll down and try Remove Lens Vignette. If that doesn't work, can you supply the RAW file for us to examine? drann Posted February 22, 2023 Author Posted February 22, 2023 I have sent the file by email as I couldn't attach it by dragging but hope it has worked this time. _DSC0099.ARW walt.farrell 1 Quote
Staff stokerg Posted February 23, 2023 Staff Posted February 23, 2023 Hi @drann, If you can just open that RAW file in Affinity and while in the Develop Persona, click Window>Assistant Preferences and change the RAW engine from Serif Labs to Apple Core, then click Close. Now close your RAW file and re-open it, it should now display okay Quote
drann Posted February 23, 2023 Author Posted February 23, 2023 Wow! It worked, what a relief 😀 , thank you very much indeed. I am so impressed by the service I have had from Affinity and will certainly tell other Affinity users how good you are 👏 stokerg 1 Quote
