Forgive the really newbie question....

I can see the iOS betas in the Mac TestFlight, but am downloading the Mac betas directly. Will they show in TestFlight? I wonder?

Also, which is the best Windows candidate, EXE or MSIX?

Hi Harry,

We don't currently have plans on using TestFlight for macOS betas right now. For iPadOS it is the only way we're able to deliver betas so are forced to use it. :)

With regards to Windows it is really up to you.

MSIX in my opinion is slightly nicer to install and use and provides and quick and easy way to install/update, however due to its sandboxed nature it does have its own drawbacks, such as not having easy access to point to the EXE.

EXE is better for users who want to use Affinity in conjunction with other applications (such as DAMs) where they may need direct access to point to the EXE.

Thanks Sean.

Nice and clear now. I'll have a think about the Windows versions. I'm not sure it matters really here. I'm running them in Parallels now so we'll see.

thanks
