That online help topic is relevant fo Macs but it doesn't say anything about there being an equivalent modifier key on Windows, so can we assume that CTRL also works for Windows to CTRL-click on a segment to delete it? 2. The help file says Quote ⌃(ctrl)-click a segment to delete it, creating two separate curves within one curve object. However, if the curve object is a closed curve, it does not 2 curves, it just converts the closed curve to an open one. It is relevant to the OS you're using to view it (with the exception that Android users get the Mac Help, with no choice). A Windows user will see the right information for them. Does that create two curves if the curve it is applied to is closed? For me, it does not; it just opens the curve where the segment was removed. So for example on this closed cracked heart shape.afdesign file if I remove one of its segments via a CTRL-click, it just becomes a single open curve. I'm sure it functions the same way on both Mac and Windows. 1 hour ago, R C-R said: However, if the curve object is a closed curve, it does not 2 curves, it just converts the closed curve to an open one. And if it's an open curve, and you click the first or last segment, you still have 1 curve, but you lose the first (or last) node. madebywitteveen
Found it; cutting between two node's isn't a subfunction of the KNIFE tool, it is a subfunction of the NODE tool. With control the red 'X' will appear and cuts that section thanks !
