[2.0.4] Blocking bug when trying to export slices

Recommended Posts

Open a afphoto-File -> ok

Change to Export Persona -> ok

Create a slice -> ok

Export all slices / single slice -> ok

Select destination -> at a certain point or depth of folder, the cursor changes to spinning wheel and affinity photo freezes and doesn't recover. Sometimes freezes already when displaying the fileselect dialog.

Happens often (too often) but not always. Didn't succeed to find any correlation with some preconditions...

@stokergHi,

This doesn't happen only with a connection to a cloud service, but also when trying to export to a spot on a harddrive! Sometimes I choose a folder down or up to solve the problem, but it is slowing down my work flow. I reported this month's ago in connection with exporting webp in V2, but webp has nothing to do with this issue. The same freezing on export is happening in Affinity Photo V1 latest version. And in V2 I have the same problem.

I work with multiple slices and sizes.

The issue "Export Persona hang in Open and Save Panel Process when Exporting Slices" (REF: AFD-5921) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.1.0.1781".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
