Welcome!

Which app & version, which OS ... etc. - From "list of content" one can only guess that APub is meant here, but everything else is unknown here. Please be more specific.

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2

Also, by "list of content" do you mean "table of contents"? If so, I've only ever seen it placed where I told Publisher to put it. So some screenshots and/or a screen recording, and possibly a sample .afpub document, would be useful.

I use publisher 2, of course I meant table of content, sry, english isn´t my mothertongue. I work with a macbook air, Ben Sur 11.6.5..

I didn´t find any option to insert sth like table of content should start on page 12. I did that manually and after the update it was again on page 2. the first page was blank.

This sounds like you have some linked Text Frames from Page 2 to page 12 (at least page 12 if that is where you are wanting the ToC to start)

Clear any Master Pages from Page 12 and make a Text Frame on the Actual Page to hold the ToC. Or, break the link from the Text Frame on Page 12 to the previous Actual Pages (Click on the upper left text flow triangle on the text frame on Page 12 then click in the middle of the text frame).

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Thank you Old Bruce. That was the issue. I had to ad a new ToC bc it deleted the old one after the update but now it works.

I don´t understand the logic of this program.

I have to come back to my issue. Every time I make an update, the whole table of content losts its style. And I have to start from the beginning and have to add the style again to each level. I don´t understand this program.

If you're generating the TOC, and then manually editing the text to style it, that's the wrong approach.

Each entry in the TOC has a Text Style. To change the appearance of the TOC you update those Text Styles, and the entries automatically update to reflect those changes.

Publisher supplies the Text Styles. You need to use the ones it supplies, and update them to suit your needs.

They will be available in your Text Styles panel when you have generated a TOC and you have the text cursor within the generated TOC.

If you're trying to assign your own Text Styles to text in the generated TOC that's not the right approach with Publisher.

I know that and I did it right .But after an update of the TOC, the styles were deleted! now I found a solution, it took me 2 hours. And again it doesn´t work perfect, but I get what I want.
