walt.farrell
I would have expected the superscript and subscript options in the Character Studio to work, as (on the desktop, at least) those create faux super- and subscript appearance for any characters. The Positioning options in the OpenType settings, though, would only work for characters supported by the fonts. Those are true super- and subscripts using characters provided by the fonts. I can't try it on my iPad right now. Sahan
Well its not working on any font at all. I was waiting to purchase the new Affinity Pack for IPad like I have purchased for the previous version. Hope to find a fix asap ..
walt.farrell
It seems to be an issue with all 3 V2 apps. The superscript and subscript options in the Positioning part of the Character studio don't work. The OpenType options work, but not the basic ones that create faux super- and subscripts. Staff Affinity Info Bot Posted February 28, 2023 Staff Share Posted February 28, 2023 It looks like V1 on iPad faked superscript/subscript when the glyph did not exist for that font. V2 had a lot of Publisher development work in this area and has addressed this issue correctly, and does not fake them anymore. The equivalent option is now in Text > Character > Positioning >Superscript / subscript.
MmmMaarten
Just for people having this issue, found this thread and like me thought the Serif bot meant the Text menu, it's not in the text-menu but in the character panel still. This is where it's at in Designer: The buttons under Typography to change subscript and superscript don't work, but the dropdown under Positioning and Transform does work: (BTW it's interesting that we can toggle on both superscript and subscript at the same time in Typography. I wonder what was supposed to happen in that case)

Andreas Schmid
The subscript/superscript setting under "positioning" works for me. Not sure, why you are not using it. The one in the character menu and opentype setting only works for figures (numbers or "e" etc).
