Exporting pdf issue

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

i created an A4, 4 pages, .afdesign file.

I attach a screenshot of it,

containing 4 placed .pdf inside each one.

When I try to export, the result is the file I attached.

A 4 pages A4 pdf with the an absurdly small image in the centre.

With Affinity designer 1 was all ok,

what happens with this version?

Thank you in advance,

have a good day.

It appears to be something to do with passthrough being specified as using interpret appears to generate the export previews OK. I'll have to log this for further investigation

What's particularly odd here, that the original embeded PDF is a pure vector file, but when placed as passthrough, it's being rasterized!? Why that? It doesn't make sense.
Same in v1.10.6. Same with any placed passthrough PDF, for that matter. Was that always the case?
(I never use placed documents apart from bitmap images. Since decades, I always "crack-open" anything vector and place it as native paths into my layouts. For a good reason, obviously…)

the file I received from my client didn't have the text converted in paths, and I didn't own the font.

Yes, that's often the issue…
