Repeating crash while zooming

I have an annoying crash that keeps occurring while zooming. It makes working on the file near impossible

restarting the iPad does not work.  

i am working on iPad Pro 11 inch 2.gen IOS 15.6

Does it happen with all documents?

There was a similar bug in v2.0.2 when pixel preview was on. But that was fixed in v2.0.3.

No only on this document. I have regularly crashes but this is the first time it being so consistent.

Based on your suggestion I tried to delete some pixellayers and it seems to work for now. Thanks!

Hm, that was likely just good luck…  
I can't replicate a crash with pixel layers either.

i am working a lot with symbols full of layers. pixel to skech and vector to retrace. usually the crashes appear at some point when the complexity/layer of the symbol is quite high.
will keep an eye on it.

Ah, yes. Symbols can be tricky. I love them, so I'm regularly pushing their boundaries on desktop Affinity, too.

Yes symbols are amazing. They are in fact the main reason I use affinity instead of illustrator  still hoping for the „replace symbol“ function though 🤞

Simply move another object(s) into one of the "Symbol" container layers and delete the old object(s) inside.

I have the same issue year later in files with a lot of symbols. What’s more it occurs in those files also when opened on desktop (Mac). I also tried these files on recent 2.5 betas and it still occurs. I can provide .afdesign file if it would be helpful.
