kboone Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Even though I have the 'convert to working space' checked inside of Color Preferences, the imported eps is still using the incorrect color. The file is fine if opened from Illustrator. If I convert the file to .ai , Designer 2 will import correctly. Anything I can do about this? AAS WINNER logo.eps Quote

I don't have this option checked … and I wonder whether it matters here. The EPS and PS file format don't include a profile information. However, the Exiftool mentions for this EPS in its metadata "Plate names: PANTONE 187 C, PANTONE 288 C, PANTONE 376 C". So you might expect their colour impression? (If I assign those I hardly see a difference to the initial CMYK colours / "Generic CMYK.icc" in my setup) – I wonder if Affinity officially should recognize / respect / display spot colours if they are assigned to elements in an EPS which gets opened in Affinity? No, spot colours in EPS do not get recognized in Affinity from its very start. But they should. thomaso 1 Quote ---------- Windows 10 / 11, Complete Suite Retail and Beta

I have since opened the file on my home computer and it did return with the correct colors. Now, I need to figure out what is wrong with my configuration on the office computer. Ugg. Quote
