Old affinity files

This is for all the affinity programs. I have to re-save my old affinity v1 files because they are not stable. This is very time consuming if I have to re-save all my old files. Please make it backwards compatible. We also need a shortcut on our desktop for the programs, going to start everytime is annoying. Thank!

Hi Zachary and welcome to the forum.

Re-saving your v1 files (either as v1 or v2) won't make them more stable. You should make backup copies of the last v1 version of your file if you may want to open them again in v1. You can do this from your Windows desktop. I recommend making a backup copy of all of your v1 files.

You don't have to use Save As to re-save a v1 file from v2, it's just recommended to avoid customers unknowingly saving over their only v1 copy of a file. But if you've already made a backup then go ahead and use Save as you normally would.

Can you be more specific about why you consider them not stable?
